A Little About How I Started My Path
As a full time caring provider with the Special School District of Missouri, full time mother of three, full time student and loving wife, I chose to take on the task of also becoming a hedgehog mommy. When I went to purchase my first hedgehog, I drove more than an hour to meet the little guy. When I picked him up, the older gentleman explained he was just getting too old for breeding his animals. He had birds of different kinds, kangaroos, horses and rabbits. I noticed he only had three hedgehogs and I asked him what he was going to do with the other two. He told me he was not sure, he had been trying to sell them for a while now. My heart melted and I drove home with three hedgehogs that day :) When I got home, I separated them and planned to love them all equally. About a month later, I went to feed them one morning and noticed one had six babies! They were tiny, pink with itty bitty spikes and OH SO CUTE! I fell in love and decided to become a breeder :) Below is a picture of the beginning of an amazing and rewarding hobby! Through my love of exotic animals, I became friends with many breeders who also owned sugar gliders. I knew I had to add them to my family <3
